White whole wheat flour has been popular for centuries in Eastern Europe and Australia; however red wheat dominates in the Western world. With the same health benefits as the whole wheat, from the whole grain to which we are accustomed, white whole wheat (which is actually tan in color) is milder and sweeter in flavor. It has a lighter texture than whole wheat flour and can be used in recipes as a substitute for any type of flour.
